On March 25, according to the commission notice of the National Natural Science Foundation (NNSF), President GE Shirong was appointed the member of the 3^rd Supervision Committee of NNSF.

It is reported that the Supervision Committee of NNSF was founded on December 10, 1982, which is aiming at vindicating justness of the foundation, protecting the rights of Chinese scientists, setting up better environment for scientific research and promoting the development of NNSF. The duties of NNSF include establishing and perfecting the regulations of NNSF, processing NNSF’f project applications and so on. The current NNSF committee is composed of 1 director, 2 vice directors and 16 members.
